Gobsmacked returns to the Silo, and this time bringing label favorite and legend Jerome Hill to showcase his incredibly talented style. Joining him are Diarmaid O Meara, Millhouse and Viki.

Berlin based Irish artist, deep into intense but soulful, atmospheric but industrial, heavy but spaced techno. Specialized in intense two and three turntable Dj sets. One of Irelands most notable international techno acts, Diarmaid O Meara has been pushing his brand of intense, and driving techno throughout European clubs and radio shows since appearing vividly on the scene in 2010. Known for skillfull and energetic DJ sets and steady releases across the genres top labels, including his own Gobsmacked brand, Diarmaid has been a steady fixture in the European circuit for years playing alongside countless heros from A.Paul to Sunil Sharpe, and Dave Clarke to Dj Rush. His style of techno production is consistently lauded by the greats and charted on the download stores, while his Audio Affair Broadcast show showcases the best underground noise and upcoming artists biweekly.

Millhouse has been bangin’ out the tunes for almost 20 years, playing in venues throughout Ireland and more recently Germany. He has worked along side with some great DJ’s and producers in the industry; including Dave Clarke, Marco Remus, Luke Creed, Rhythm Technologies, Diarmaid O Meara, Dave the Drummer, Alex Calver, Patrick DSP and many more. Millhouse’s main influences have been Dave Clarke, Diarmaid O Meara and Luke Creed. In 2010, Millhouse saw his first few releases, firstly a collaboration with Luke Creed on Kamikaze Records. His first solo release on Gobsmacked Records’ 50th release along side other techno hard hitters Space Djz, Vegim, Concrete Djz, Diarmaid o Meara, Luke Creed and Karl Cullen. Since then Millhouse has had his tracks played by some of the biggest stars of the techno world and continues to play the freshest most original techno tracks.

VIKI raised in Berlin, spent most of her youth in the punk and psychobilly scene. Coming from the high energy of punk she found her path in club culture and electronic music. Her passion ignited her to mix and quickly landed her gigs next to artists like VSK, Morbeck, Joseph McGeechan, and in clubs such as Tresor, About:Blank and Suicide Circus, as well as residencies at WeCallItTechno and Claires. She is a big believer that a good set takes you on a journey, just like a good book.

Lars was born in Berlin in 1987. His Career as a musician began very early. At 11 years young he started drumming in different bands. After a few years he founded his own bands, playing different styles from jazz, fusion and all the way to progressive metal. His orientation on complex drum grooves makes up his foundation, while still being able to keep an open mind in regards to different styles and the ability to put them together to create a new form of art. It is an obsession in hard drilling percussion, banging synth-elements, and drums that roll together to create a more complex groove-pattern.

Touring europe since he was 20 years old, while playing support to techno legends such as Dave Clarke, Joseph Capriati, A.Paul, DAVE the Drummer, Gayle San & Monoloc, and also holding his own as a reputable headline Dj.

As a producer, he has tracks out on labels like his own Variant Electronic, Naked Lunch, The Public Stand & more. Luke has remixed for established techno artists the world over, Including a bootleg of the classic Clarke track “Thunder” that received big support from the Baron of Techno. He has featured on EP’s alongside tried and tested techno pioneers and has received consistent support from techno heavyweights including the great Dave Clarke, as well as A.Paul, Dubfire, DAVE the Drummer, Detroit Grand Pubahs & many more.

Luke’s mentality towards music and djing is the defining factor in the presentation of his art, not exactly a “purist” in the typical sense of the word, he is a devout dissenter and you can hear it in his music. He does not try to keep up with music trends, sub genres or adhere to what people expect of him as an artist. Just listen to his music to feel the vibe he creates.

Irish electronic music artist, deep into intense but soulful, atmospheric but industrial, heavy but spaced techno. Owner of the Gobsmacked label, which has to date over 150 Digital, Vinyl, CD and USB releases since its founding in Waterford, Ireland 2008. His personal discography includes almost twenty 12″ releases, over 50 digital EPs, and two LP albums across dozens of labels, most notably Gobsmacked, Nachtstrom, Naked Lunch, Emetic, Potential, EPM etc. His bi-weekly Audio Affair show has been running since November 2014 across dozens of terrestrial and digital radio senders, and he is a regular addition and headliner of line-ups in clubs across Europe. Through his own productions, radio series, label, brand events, and gigs, Diarmaid has been heavily involved in the promotion and development of Techno since 2008.

Future Sounds Vol.2

Music made for post-industrial spaces, pushing against the grain and societal boundaries imposed on us by those following globally destructive ideals. Music for allowing the consciousness an escape from daily monotony and the struggle to coexist alongside the monsters of wealth accumulation. Twelve tracks hand picked for their intensity, intelligence, and production skill, developed for a post industrial setting, and brimming with energy. Future Sounds Vol. 2 skims the surface of the techno scene, and manages to pick a dozen of it ́s best results from seasoned Gobsmacked artists, and newcomers finally joining the label.

Diarmaid O Meara – Haven

Taking influences, samples and soundscapes from underground spaces and empty clubs, Diarmaid O Meara returns to Gobsmacked for his third solo release in 2018. Haven is the result of painstakingly recording industrial sounding noises in post-industrial locations and feeding them through hardware sequencers, undercut with eurorack synths.

Ethan Fawkes & Diarmaid O Meara – Professional Tourist

No strangers to the Gobsmacked sound, Ethan Fawkes and Diarmaid O Meara joined forces and have produced a heavy synth based, analog sounding EP. The namesake ‘Professional Tourist’ pushes raw and eerie sounding bass lines in contrast with the pumping intensity of ‘Afterlife Strategy’, which receives quality remixes from both C-System, and Patrick DSP.

Diarmaid O Meara – Hardware Frequencies

Hardware Frequencies is the new EP from Diarmaid O Meara on the Gobsmacked imprint, and features 5 original techno tracks. Available on USB through Gobsmacked, and digital from all good download stores. After an extremely busy 12 months of releases and touring, including releasing his extremely well received “In Your Head” album on Gobsmacked, two 12″ records including his “Dreams” EP on Teja, and a collaborative EP with Oliver Kucera, this will be his first solo endeavor of 2017. Being dropped directly before a sister EP on the blisteringly hot Emetic imprint, Hardware Frequencies is a showcase of some of O Mearas most dance-able experimental productions of the past two years. Worked and reworked after countless dance floor tests across the European clubland, this EP features the combined influence and energy resonance resulting from relocating his studio to an old bunker by Berlin ́s violently historic Tempelhof airport. Covering a spectrum of techno from analog breakbeat and twisted experimental, to straight four four.

Oliver Kucera (Your Mother Naked, DJAX) and Diarmaid O Meara (Gobsmacked, Nachtstrom) drop a collaborative EP onto Gobsmacked with a thump.
